Aline Fiedorowicz, LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Aline Fiedorowicz graduated from Loyola University (Chicago) with a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has built on the foundation of training and experience she received at Loyola in the post-graduate program in marital and family therapy at the Family Institute at Northwestern University. In addition, she is a regular participant in continuing education programs over the past 11 years.

Aline has a history of diverse clinical experience. She served as an intake coordinator at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic of the University of Chicago Hospitals. There she interviewed and screened prospective clients for inpatient and outpatient evaluation and treatment. Her diagnostic skills were used to assess the acuity and need for care, as well as recommending the most appropriate type of placement or intervention. She received clinical training in a program for addictions counseling at Grant Hospital. She has worked with battered women and their children, providing emergency assessment and crisis intervention to help generate support and necessary services.

Aline was a clinical social worker with the Jewish Children's Bureau (JCB) for over eight (8) years. Her initial work at JCB was in their residential treatment program where she provided individual and family therapy for adolescent female residents. Her responsibilities included developing and implementing individual treatment plans; collaborating with collateral systems, including schools, DCFS, and the juvenile court in the interest of helping reunite her clients with their families. For the past four years she provided outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, and families at JCB, including marital and couples work.

At Associates in Therapy and Assessment, Aline has continued to use her extensive experience and expertise in her individual work with children, adolescents and adult clients, while including her special talents in marital and couples therapy as a significant part of her clinical work. She is committed to helping couples augment their ability to communicate effectively, to successfully manage conflict and to enhance their level of intimacy, both emotionally and physically. Couples who are experiencing difficulty related to sexual concerns, i.e., diminished sex drive, are among those clients for whom Aline has a special interest.
